Embracing Autumn, Yourself & Change.
The air shifts. The sticky humid heat is replaced by something crisper.
The light becomes softer, more golden somehow. The frantic buzz of summer comes to an end.
Everything slows down, the maple leaves are tinged in gold and red, crunching gently beneath our feet.
If you’re like me, maybe you’ve been waiting for this luscious seasonal shift since, say, mid-June.
Autumn is here. Finally—yes!
A time to go inside. To let go. To embrace change.
Oh, change—one of those inevitable things most of us resist. It’s scary. It’s vulnerable. It’s unfamiliar. It’s exciting. It’s necessary. It’s messy.
It’s…unknown.
And it’s so human to want change and to resist it in the very same breath. It’s so human to struggle with uncertainty, to want everything to be perfect and shiny and set.
But that isn’t life.
We are always growing, tumbling towards something new. Shedding our skin. Learning. Making mistakes. Figuring things out. It’s so raw and gorgeous.
This autumn, let the colorful leaves stop you in your tracks. Let the cool air pulse into something introspective and deep and silly and real and beautiful.
Fall reminds us how good it is to change. How natural. How powerful.
The leaves change and so do we.
How can we embrace that? How can we love who we are now, and excitedly, tenderly meet who we are becoming?

Writing prompts for embracing change this Autumn:
What has changed since last Fall? Are these inner or outer changes, or both?
What can you let go of now?
What baby steps can you take to take care of yourself? (Please, please…keep this small and manageable!) i.e. a cup of tea outside, a deep breath, working out once a week.
What relationship do you have to the unknown? Is it terrifying, exciting, a mixture? Explore this and lean into the discomfort. What is it like to sit with this?
What cozy rituals do you love in the Fall?
