Sarah Harvey
Co Owner, MA, LCMHC
I am a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor who supports kids, teens, and adults. From running creative art afterschool programs, teaching dance and zumba, and nannying, I have worked with kiddos in many different capacities for over 15 years.
During sessions, you’ll find me getting creative. I use play, art, music, movement, nature, games, writing, and sensory tools. I appreciate using these modalities to build safety and a strong connection with clients. I am also passionate about utilizing evidenced-based approaches such as CBT, EMDR, ACT, and attachment theory. I find that combining these approaches often helps bring nervous system regulation, deeper awareness, and lasting change. I also welcome us bringing a sense of humor to our sessions!
As a therapist with ADHD, I greatly enjoy working with neurovdivergent clients. I understand that navigating the neurotypical world can be so many things…often tough, confusing, & exhausting! There can be a lot of shame and deep fatigue that accompanies this. Often, those of us who are neurodivergent need unique supports, resources, and strategies. And most of all, we need to see our strengths and gifts. I am delighted to guide young people and adults to learn more about how their brains work and how to advocate for themselves in different settings.
Additionally, I enjoy working with anxiety, depression, OCD, bullying, phobias, blended families, parents, attachment struggles, highly sensitive individuals and PTSD. I am LGBTQIA+ affirming. I believe in the capacity of all children to heal and grow.
Please note that I do not offer custody evaluations or litigation services for child custody cases. I am happy to offer referrals for custody cases.
